Schools
The Cred Foundation started life delivering Development Education in various schools on the South Coast and across the UK. Since this time we’ve been involved with many schools and have delivered many lessons, presentations and assemblies over the years. It’s good to share stories and give a window on life in another part of the world, not least because it contributes to learning about global citizenship and responsibility.
Firstly, we aim to collate resources and materials for teachers to more effectively deliver development education and related topics.
Secondly, we’re keen to develop meaningful links between UK & Ethiopian schools: we’ve seen how direct communication results in meaningful cultural exchange, and a real education for UK kids into the bargain.
Thirdly, we’re also keen to attract funding for the Education Sponsorship project. The difference a whole class – or a whole school – could make to thousands of children and young people in one of the poorest countries in the world is immense.

We take out small teams of UK young people to Ethiopia to help deliver a very special activity week for children with special needs in the slums.
