The CRED Foundation exists not only to raise issues and campaign but to benefit our international partners and to invest in specific projects that have a direct and effective answer to poverty. Fundraising is absolutely vital for the sustenance of these projects: we’re proud to support them and wish everyone could see their work face to face and be as excited about them as we are.
In fact, our approach to fundraising has attempted to do just this: create face to face, person to person links. Where this isn’t possible for you individually, since we have personal links to people directly on the ground, we can guarantee that what you raise will go directly to where it’s needed.
Some of the sponsored events so far have included miles of walking, a 24 hour dash around the 3 highest peaks of the UK, and a gruelling 10km run through the streets of Addis Ababa. We’re open to new ideas and really pleased to be able to pass on money and goodwill to our partners, whether it’s from a jumble sale, an auction or a sponsored hike.
