Communities
Cred believes in development through trade, and providing opportunities for people to help themselves. It's easy to take for granted things like health care or welfare in developed countried: foundational things that enable you to live life as you do. We are pleased to support projects that are providing solid foundations for communities to develop, whether through short-term relief efforts or long-term community investment.
The following projects that we support are run by our partner organisations.
Medical Centre, Orphanage & Training Centre
FIAM (Faith in Action ministries) is a Christian charity standing in this gap with an holistic approach to personal and social transformation. The project aims to establish a 3-storey complex that will house an AIDS orphanage, a medical centre offering primary and secondary patient care, and a training centre for FIAM staff.

Integrated Holistic Approach – Urban Development Project
IHA-UDP is a truly innovative 'all in one' approach to poverty in 6 of the poorest slum areas in Addis. The project currently reaches 40,000 people!
In its 8 years of existence, it has empowered communities to deal with issues such as health care, sanitation, education and employment, and continues to expand into new neighbourhoods.
In the social and political climate of Ethiopia, where the concept of state welfare is non-existent, this project stands out as a world pioneer, attracting visits from the like of Bob Geldof, Bono, Brad Pitt… and Cred!
